Hmmmm
I wonder if I am considered to be an artist of any sort.

As promised, I drew the second page of the Sink fire comic. I like the line work from the first page more, but I like the overall second page more I think. Since I have not posted since October, I will post the first page as well. I will put them under these LJ cuts, if it works.
A rough description of the events in this comic: David lights a sink on fire, and tries to blame it on a fictional infant.
Nor can they make a poorer amount of updates than me, seriously.
I am in a fairly uninspiring and lazy part of my life, or maybe just my year. I will be drawing the second page of Sink Fire tonight. When colored pages go back up, they will look slightly nicer than they used too, if you've seen my work since last August, you'll know what I mean.
HEY YOU GUUUUUUUUUUUYS
I got my ink back about a week ago. Do you people want me to finish the pencil comic or go ahead and finish the inked colored one that is finally getting to something good? THE CREATIVE JUICES ARE FLOWIN!
I do need responses for this one! I need to know what you guys would rather see finish first.
In other events, drawing the first cover for your first comic is not an easy thing to do! You have to showcase the characters, and make them look like you'd want to read about them. I don't think showing someone a weird off model drawing first before they even seen the comic works out well. or does it? Is that an acceptable thing? I would assume it's not a good idea, even Ren and Stimpy showed you what they look like normally before they did all those expression shots. That'll work out eventually, BELIEVE IT.
P.S.: SHIKIMARU NARA IS A NAUGHTY INFLUENCE! Unlike Joeseph Q Waters, the best influence ever.
I have been quite busy the past two weeks! I got that page done, wrote a little script for a separate series, and then designed an entirely new character from that. I'm proud of it because it doesn't fully resemble all of the other designs I work with, made by me or otherwise. I will upload that as soon as I can, and then continue to work on the Towering Sink Inferno.
I was asked by two people today if I still make this comic! I suppose I am not getting it out there enough. It was odd being asked, since it rarely happens. I have been getting questions about it a bit more lately, which is very positive I think. I will usually get an odd comment along the lines of "I love your style, I like figuring out whats going on!" That is very worrisome to me, because that means I am not getting something across properly. My comic is pretty style heavy, but if you look at it from page to page I am picking up how to do the basics, which are far more important. I do enjoy the positively based comments though! Any comments are welcome here at MBNJ.
The other reason the comic seems to crazy right now is because I decided some time ago that I was going to make the first comic an experiment. I was going to see what I could do with the characters without a plot, and try and set some personality traits through that, then work them into a story line that works well with them. This is still very much a Proto comic. Soon enough it will be ready for the upgrade, while the protocomic runs away, desperately needing repairs.
done in pencil! PAGE ONE OF SEVERAL. BIRTHDAY DAY FOR ME.
Remember that round robot with the syringe tail from a while back? I finally thought of a name for it that I'll remember: Trundletron.
aaah yes, the cartooning medium. A fine mistress if ya know whatcher doin with her! Slowly this wee lad learns what them fancy school folks n' those guys who payed attention to "quality" already know! This page, and the rest in this short story line is entirely without ink, so I had to make sure it looked swell with pencil alone. The problem this causes for me is graphite fog all over the paper that's hard to get rid of without erasing precious line work. LETS SEE HOW THIS WORKS! The first second I can get to a scanner I will, because I want this up as soon as possible.
I'm not sure how to explain this, but I will.
I was doodling a mouth to see how it looked. When I finished, I said "boy howdy this sure looks like a Kermit the frog mouth"
then this happened.
That is my progress report.
OOPS All berries cereal caused a crying fit in my house.
The page would have been up by now if I hadn't cleverly left my inking pens at Erics Dorm. I do NOT want to put up an un inked comic unless its like a one shot or I do the entire story that way.
I'm drawing one of those right now, and it'll be up here once its done to make up for not having a story page (theres a plot for this "story" coming up soon enough)
HERE IS A PREVIEW OF SAID ONE SHOT COMIC
"David: BABY DID IT!"
the next 3 story pages are real knee slappers I tell you what.
I've left this place dead for over a MONTH now! JEEPERS! Well I'm back in school and more active now...I hate being stuck on how to do a page blah.
